Introduction: 

The Centre for Social Markets will conduct a series of workshops, the first of its kind in Kolkata in collaboration with the GoWB. To make students/ teachers adequately ‘climate change literate’, these workshops have been designed to understand the topics and relevance of Climate Change. The effort would be to strengthen the academic process by demonstrating the curricular possibilities through extra-curricular engagements on climate change.

Activities:

1) Briefing Session: “From subjects to disciplines -- climate change education as a tool”. A daylong session is being organized on 5th May 2010 at the Aranya Bhawan in Kolkata to introduce the project to the Heads of Schools/ Institutions, State Government officials and the Academia. 2) Climate Workshops in Schools:
